Under no circumstances should you return in-game currency/items to the seller, regardless of any reason they provide—even if it’s the same character you just traded with. (They may claim it’s to avoid account suspension, to give you a reward, that they forgot to take a screenshot, etc.) Only scammers will ask you to return items. If you do so, you will bear all responsibility alone.
Do not use product information as a payment method or to exchange for other goods. Always ensure that the item you ultimately receive matches the product description. For example: If you intend to purchase a World of Warcraft account, but the seller asks you to place an order for Path of Exile items instead, this is most likely a scam. Please report it to us immediately.
Do not disclose any personal information to the seller that may endanger the security of your account.
Do not risk conducting transactions outside of GameAuction.
Do not conduct any other transactions within the game.
Do not pay attention to any advertisements sent via in-game private chats or direct messages.
Do not engage with sellers who try to promote goods by directing you to other websites.
