How to Avoid Phishing Scams

Phishing scams refer to fraudulent acts where scammers impersonate trusted sources to trick users into providing sensitive information (such as bank details and credit card information) or persuade users to make payments to the scammers.

Identifying Phishing Attacks

Email Phishing

GameAuction will never require you to conduct transactions off-site. Buyers can only pay for currency, items, accounts, or power-leveling services through our in-site payment gateway.

Users should be wary of individuals impersonating GameAuction who use fake email addresses.

The following email addresses are not associated with GameAuction and should not be trusted:sales@supportGameAuction.comGameAuctionie@aol.com

Official and trusted emails from GameAuction are as follows:****@GameAuction.com******@GameAuction.zendesk.com

Off-site Transaction Phishing

Please note that off-site transactions violate our Terms of Service. Any seller or buyer found engaging in off-site transactions will be banned from using the platform.

Top sellers on GameAuction are aware of this rule and are highly unlikely to complete transactions off-site. If someone contacts you off-site claiming to be a top seller on GameAuction, they are most likely not associated with that seller at all and are merely impersonating them to attempt to scam you.

Remember that payments for any products listed on GameAuction should be completed on our website.

If you have any questions about emails or off-site messages you receive that claim to be from PlayerAuctions or top sellers on PlayerAuctions, please contact our customer support and inform us of the situation.
